A trip to Open Air Museum Vychylovka
 ‘Once upon a time…except this one is real’  

Woodland Railway, established in 1926 was used to transport wood in the past. It is now a tourist attraction. The historical logging switchback (also called 'zig zag') railway is one of two railways of this type in Europe .

A trip to ‘Strecno’ castle 
'Knights and rafts’

  Castle visit
 Dated back to 1384, this medieval castle is a very nicely preserved ruin, it was the safest fort of the region . It stands on the top of the limestone rock and provides stunning view of view of the Strečiansky priesmyk mountain pass, Domašínsky meander and a great part of the Žilinská kotlina basin
Rafting
Experience the rafting tradition from the 11the century on 7km long stretch of rafting on the longest Slovakian river Vah

A trip to the mountain resort ‘Oscadnica Velka Raca 
‘How high?’  

  Optional walk up the mountain or on a chair lift.   
 Crazy and fun, dry bob sleigh 1.4km track (the longest one in Europe), no engine, just gravity…dare yourself how fast you can go. 
  Zip wire – not too high, but, with a pretty view Bungee trampoline – you know the ones in shopping malls – kids strapped, holding on to two ropes, jumping up and down, comfortable doing back flips.

Additional daily group activities and trips are optional and weather dependent. They are planned and organised by Gaudium Retreats and include hiking, bobsleigh track, archery, high ropes, mountain scooter, various sports (including wall climbing, tandem skydiving), games and cultural trips. These will require booking in advance and are not included in the price of the retreat. 
 Evening entertainment includes an evening of a traditional Slovakian music and dance, sitting outside around the fire, playing guitar, singing and dancing.
